Shooting Lessons!

I went to Black Wing Shooting Center to learn all about guns. Sam was my awesome teacher who showed me how to load, unload, and take apart a .22. After an hour, she felt that I was ready to try firing. The target about was at 25 feet and my very first time shooting a gun - EVER!

Buttons and Pink Pigs

When I was a kid, my mom and I would shop for buttons to put on the clothing that she made for me. To this day I love buttons...collect the crazy ones and scrapbook with the cute ones. While looking at buttons in JoAnn's, Kaitrin found some cute pink pig buttons and pulled them off the rack. She picked four pig buttons. When asked where she wanted the pig buttons to be, she replied, "On my stuff so everyone knows it's mine." What stuff? Well, her new hat, her mittens and her coat. She is so proud!
Kaitrin found a hat at school the other day and wouldn't let it go. So that it could be returned to the rightful owner, I whipped together one for her. This hat is worn EVERYWHERE!

Jacob the Magician

Jacob did a card trick for his part of the school magic show. I had to pick a card and show the audience then place it back into the deck while Jacob had his eyes closed. Jacob picked up the cards in a pile and picked out my card - ace of hearts.

Halloween Costumes - such decisions!

Oh yes, they are holding hands! It is truly amazing what two siblings will do for each other (or for mom) when they know that Halloween costumes are about to be purchased!
Kaitrin was so very excited to get her "Snow White Princess" costume. During our trip to Salt Fork last weekend she watched the movie for the first time.

Jacob wanted about five different costumes as well as legos and candy...geesh!

And after finding the perfect costume, who wants to take it off? Even for pizza...nope!

Salt Fork State Park

This is off the deck of our room at Salt Fork! The deer were so close to us...and Kaitrin couldn't let them starve so she shared her strawberry pop tart. How nice!
